Job Description

About the Role

You will serve as TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER (ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL) in the Spectrum Warfare Department, Technical Project Management Branch of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. The position involves managing technical projects within the department, ensuring alignment with organizational strategies, and overseeing project execution from initiation to closeout, with a focus on cost, schedule, and quality management.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for initiating, planning, monitoring, reporting, and closeout of an assigned portfolio of projects.
  • You will maintain projects' cost, schedule, and quality and participate in the customer feedback process in accordance with customer coverage models.
  • You will participate in workload, technical capabilities, strategic, and other planning development activities.
  • You will review project proposals for alignment to Crane Integrated Command strategy and Warfare Center Technical capabilities.
  • You will ensure cost estimates, definitive tasking, and statements of work are clearly defined between Crane and the customer relative to cost, quality, and schedule.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
  • Must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 pay band (GS-11/12 equivalency) in analyzing or evaluating technical project operation requirements.
  • Ability to analyze or evaluate technical project operation requirements to maintain project efficiency or effectiveness for an organization.
  • Must obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test is required.
  • Must be able to travel for extended periods, including to remote or isolated sites.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with project management in a military or government environment.
  • Knowledge of the Department of Defense or Naval Surface Warfare Center operations.
  • Familiarity with federal procurement, cost estimation, and project planning processes.

Qualifications

  • Experience demonstrating analysis or evaluation of technical project operation requirements.
  • Experience in managing projects related to technical or military operations.
