About the Role

The Technical Project Manager (TPM) will work directly with customers and internal Wabtec resources across various departments to advocate for customer needs and ensure successful project execution. The role involves supporting service agreements, coordinating cross-functional teams, and managing complex processes to deliver transportation solutions that improve the world. Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with customers to identify top priority items and initiatives, and coordinate analysis and issue resolution with internal support teams.
  • Convey priority for troubleshooting and analysis, communicating customer impact and importance to support desks, engineering, release management, and leadership.
  • Maintain, communicate, and update the status of action items for all maintenance activities or triage efforts, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and mechanical teams to identify, track, and report PTC-related performance metrics, and prepare performance reports and project status updates.
  • Use Clarity to manage the contract budget, cost, and revenue, ensuring resource availability and reporting on financial status quarterly.
  • Participate in discussions about future service contracts, including interactions with sales, contract management, and legal teams.
  • Assist in developing proposals and conducting executive deal reviews for projects.
  • Identify and promote value-added maintenance service offerings to expand contract value.
  • Manage complex processes involving multiple stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Communicate with TPM peers regarding top issues, opportunities for improvement, and relevant information.
  • Plan, prepare, and/or instruct internal and external training programs to share product knowledge.
  • Manage and track customer issues and requests using Salesforce enterprise management system.

Requirements

  • Four years of experience in technical project management and support or related fields.
  • Ability to lead, drive, and track progress of multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to influence and drive results with stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop high credibility and positive relationships with customers and coworkers.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate clearly and concisely to different audiences.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related field, engineering, or sciences; military experience or advanced industrial experience in project management will be considered in lieu of degree.

Nice to Have

  • Working knowledge of fundamental railroad maintenance, operations, or train dispatching.
  • PTC (Positive Train Control) experience.
  • Commitment to improvement and continuous learning.
  • Highly motivated with a strong customer service mindset.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

  • Educational background in a technical or business-related field, engineering, or sciences (preferred).
  • Military experience or advanced industrial experience in project management (considered in lieu of degree).

  • Salary range between $77,400.00 and $110,300.00, influenced by experience, skills, and other factors.
