About the Role

The Technical Sales Manager at Samsung Electronics America will support the company's network products and solutions for mobile service provider customers, focusing on 4G and 5G telecom products. The role involves working closely with sales and engineering teams to identify technical needs, develop solutions, and drive sales revenue in a dynamic, innovative environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with commercial and technical sales leads to support pre and post-sales activities to achieve sales goals and business objectives.
  • Conduct deep-dive customer product and technology sessions, including new technology introductions related to 4G/5G RAN, core, network management features, and professional services.
  • Develop deep relationships with a broad set of customer contacts from working level up to CTO, establishing trust and rapport as SME for technical network solutions.
  • Collaborate with sales and engineering teams in the US and Korea to define scope of work, effort, and timelines, and generate new customer proposals.
  • Act as the voice of the customer with internal engineering teams to ensure high customer satisfaction during hardware and software rollouts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in electrical engineering or similar field preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in the wireless industry with a focus on mobile infrastructure.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, develop, and present technical information to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of RAN technology trends, including virtual/cloud-native architectures, Open RAN, and AI enhancements for RAN.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to navigate complex customer organizations and influence decision-making.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple projects and sales activities.
  • Proven ability to work independently and in team environments, with creativity in problem-solving.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills for technical sales presentations and proposals.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with project management.
  • Knowledge of virtual/cloud-native architectures, Open RAN, and AI enhancements for RAN.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 10+ years of experience in wireless/mobile infrastructure.
