Key Responsibilities

  • Help ensure nurses, nurse educators, and hospital administrators benefit from our Nursing digital products, including point-of-care and point-of-learning solutions.
  • Execute the roadmap priorities for digital offerings in Nursing, such as Nursing Center and CE Connection.
  • Develop in-depth understanding of user needs and workflows to ensure products meet customer requirements.
  • Manage product development for assigned products and platforms, maintaining the relationship between those products and WK Technology.
  • Translate high-level user stories into specific technical development requests with clear success metrics.
  • Prioritize and maintain product backlogs, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Own the product development lifecycle and schedule, working with Agile/Scrum teams to plan and execute sprints and releases.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure compliance with security, privacy, accessibility, and system integration standards.
  • Partner with other Product Owners and Technology colleagues to identify efficiencies and ensure consistency across interfaces.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing updates and answering questions from Product Management, Technology, Content, Marketing, Sales, Support, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • College degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience.
  • 1 year of experience in digital product development, especially with Agile/Scrum teams, or relevant experience in the nursing practice market.
  • Strong knowledge of the product development process from concept to post-launch.
  • Experience leading product development and translating user needs into practical plans.
  • Understanding of technology opportunities, constraints, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and think structurally.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills, including scheduling and budgeting oversight.
  • General knowledge of the healthcare/nursing market.
  • Familiarity with customer research methods and data analytics.
  • Certification as a Scrum Master or Product Owner (e.g., Scrum Alliance).
  • Experience with customer-facing communication, product demos, and troubleshooting escalations.
  • Familiarity with backlog tools (e.g., Jira, Trello) and team communication platforms (e.g., Slack, MS Teams).
  • Ability to travel up to 15%, if not based in Philadelphia or Baltimore.

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to simulation or virtual reality products.
