Key Responsibilities

  • Help ensure nurses, nurse educators, and hospital administrators benefit from our Nursing digital products, including point-of-care and point-of-learning solutions.
  • Execute the roadmap priorities for digital offerings in Nursing, such as Nursing Center and CE Connection.
  • Develop in-depth understanding of user needs and workflows to ensure products meet customer requirements.
  • Manage product development for assigned products and platforms, maintaining the relationship between those products and WK Technology.
  • Translate high-level user stories into specific technical development items with clear success metrics.
  • Prioritize and maintain product backlogs, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Own the product development lifecycle and schedule, working with Agile/Scrum teams to plan and execute sprints and releases.
  • Maintain product health and performance, ensuring compliance with security, privacy, accessibility standards, and system integration requirements.
  • Collaborate with other Product Owners and Technology colleagues to identify efficiencies and ensure consistency across interfaces.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing updates and answering questions from Product Management, Technology, Content, Marketing, Sales, Support, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • College degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience.
  • 1 year of experience in digital product development, particularly with Agile/Scrum teams, or experience working on products for the nursing practice market.
  • Strong knowledge of the product development process from concept to post-launch.
  • Experience developing and leading product development execution.
  • Understanding of user needs and market trends, with ability to translate into practical plans.
  • Ability to craft workflow and user experience requirements aligned with business goals.
  • Knowledge of technology opportunities, constraints, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Strong organizational skills and prioritization abilities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills, including scheduling and budget oversight.
  • General knowledge of the healthcare/nursing market.
  • Familiarity with customer research methods and data analytics.
  • Certification as a Scrum Master or Product Owner (e.g., from Scrum Alliance).
  • Ability to travel up to 15% (if not based in Philadelphia or Baltimore).

Nice to Have

  • Experience with simulation or virtual reality products.
  • Experience creating customer-facing communication plans and product demos.
  • Experience troubleshooting customer escalations in collaboration with Support teams.
  • Familiarity with backlog software (e.g., Jira, VSO, Trello, Wrike) and team communication tools (Slack, MS Teams).

Qualifications

  • College degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience.
  • 1 year of experience in digital product development or related field.
  • Certification as a Scrum Master or Product Owner (e.g., from Scrum Alliance).
