Key Responsibilities

  • Own and nurture customer relationships in a team-based selling model, educating customers on ordering platforms, providing menu consultations, product recommendations, and pricing strategies.
  • Drive sales success by increasing case growth, acquiring new business, delivering impactful sales presentations, and tailoring sales approaches to individual customers.
  • Collaborate with specialists to assist with top penetration opportunities and new account openings, and work closely with marketing, supply chain, and customer service teams to ensure seamless product delivery.
  • Develop new business by identifying prospective customers through market intelligence databases, business directories, leads from existing clients, organizations, clubs, trade shows, and conferences.
  • Manage deliveries according to the routing schedule, troubleshoot issues during the order process such as delivery mispicks, stock-outs, or short loads.
  • Stay informed about market conditions, product innovations, and competitors’ products, prices, and sales, sharing relevant information with customers as part of value-added services.
  • Conduct regular check-ins, site visits, and follow-ups by driving your personal vehicle to ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of sales experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid driver’s license with a good motor vehicle record.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to build internal and external relationships and cold call to develop new business.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving, organization, and negotiation skills.
  • Team-oriented mentality to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools like Salesforce is a plus.
  • Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 75 lbs.

Nice to Have

  • Foodservice industry, culinary, restaurant management, or hospitality experience.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ year of sales experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good standing motor vehicle record.
