Test Engineer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with customers and stakeholders to plan and execute validation engagements.
• Support next-generation ACI and Data Center initiatives for Enterprise and Service Provider customers.
• Validate new design solutions to meet customer requirements.
• Drive requirements discussions, analyze test needs, build test lab configurations, and document results.
• Identify key issues and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve them.
• Develop and integrate new technologies into lab environments.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects on future initiatives and business opportunities.
• Innovate to enhance efficiency and accelerate validation efforts.
• Collaborate with other engineers to ensure successful project delivery.

Requirements

• Deep technical expertise in Core routing and switching, ACI and Nexus Data Center technologies.
• Proficiency in customer interactions and consulting.
• Ability to articulate complex concepts in understandable terms.
• Programming experience or familiarity, preferably in Python or Robot Framework.
• Routing and Switching experience with CCNA required and CCNP preferred.
• Strong knowledge of NX-OS, IOS-XE, IOS-XR, and IOS configurations.
• Experience with Cisco Data Center and Enterprise platforms (e.g., N2K-N9K, ASR1K-9K, ISR, and Wireless Platforms).
• Test and validation experience in hardware or software.
• Hands-on experience with IXIA and/or SPIRENT tools is desirable.
• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree plus 4-5 years of related experience, or a Master's degree with 2-3 years of related experience.

Nice to Have

• Experience with ACI, Data Center Technologies, and SD-WAN.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills in written, verbal, and formal presentations.
• Knowledge of Industry Test Tools.
• Ability to debug and troubleshoot complex network problems.
