User Experience Research Intern

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with experienced UX researchers to conduct end-to-end user research and usability testing.
• Develop test plans, conduct testing, analyze results, and document findings.
• Collaborate with UX designers, Product Managers, and cross-functional teams.
• Assist in maintaining and updating departmental databases, spreadsheets, and content management systems for the user research toolkit.
• Help create and update documentation, user guides, and standard operating procedures.
• Perform data entry, validation, cleanup, and basic reporting using Excel, Google Sheets, or database tools.
• Present a final project or summary of learning to the team at the end of the internship.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of databases, spreadsheets, and office productivity tools (e.g., Excel formulas, Google Forms, SharePoint).
• Strong analytical, technical troubleshooting, and organizational skills.
• Comfortable learning and using new systems and applications.
• Ability to be comfortable with ambiguity and asking for help when needed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow data security protocols.
• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
• Currently enrolled in or recently completed courses, certification, or degree in UX design, usability testing, user research, human factors, anthropology, psychology, or a related field.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship during the internship period.
• Must be in good academic standing with an expected graduation date.
