Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a vital member of the extended leadership teams for the sales leaders, participating in strategic planning and goal setting.
  • Support the national and regional accounts teams with data engineering, modeling, reporting, and analytics, including migrating data from legacy platforms.
  • Build a data ecosystem for eligibility data from employers that interacts with existing data hubs and master data management platforms, providing relevant data and analytics to various teams.
  • Support and expand the complex data ecosystem for billing data and extensive billing-related reporting for employers, brokers, and finance teams.
  • Lead the cultural shift from a traditional technology-focused data team to a business-outcome-driven mindset, developing training programs and redesigning performance metrics.
  • Co-develop and execute the data and analytics roadmap aligned with business objectives and enterprise data strategy.
  • Support the business area in creating an industry-leading employee experience through data and analytics solutions for benefits engagement and transparency.
  • Support growth initiatives across all product lines within the Group benefits business.
  • Maintain and improve standard and custom reports for various customers.
  • Direct the evolution of data platforms for claims, customers, policies, employer plans, and external data partnerships.
  • Design and execute analytics solutions that deliver meaningful business outcomes in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Establish governance frameworks for data modeling, metadata, data quality, and regulatory compliance, and create data community leaders.
  • Manage a global team across U.S. and India-based employees and consulting resources, driving culture and performance standards.
  • Proactively identify and propose data-driven solutions to business challenges, transforming the analytics organization into a strategic partner.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related quantitative field; B.S. with continuing education may be considered equivalent.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in data analytics leadership.
  • 10+ years of experience in group benefits or similar B2B2C financial services.
  • Demonstrated expertise in marketing data and analytics.
  • Experience with employee benefits plans is a plus.
  • Proficiency in designing and creating data hubs, including data ingestion, engineering, APIs, and large-scale reporting.
  • Expertise in data engineering, data governance, Data/ML Ops, and proficiency in SQL.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau or PowerBI.
  • Salesforce expertise.
  • Experience with Hadoop and MS Azure is a plus.
  • Proven track record of leading analytics teams and delivering business value through data solutions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
  • Understanding of legacy insurance platforms and modernization initiatives.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and other consumer data regulations.

  • Experience with employee benefits plans.
  • Experience with Hadoop and MS Azure.
