About the Role

The Web Developer will work within our IT support group to create and support various kinds of applications across the business. These applications are used to enable the business to manufacture, purchase, ship and sell products. You will be using full-stack development skills to build UI rich front-end pages, as well as deep backends with opportunities to learn and grow on both sides. To deliver solutions and support, you will work with all functions of the business including IT, Finance, Customer Service, Distribution, Operations, and Procurement. Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for working as part of a cross-functional team to deliver business value through the development, testing, and support of custom software
  • Spend about 70% of their time doing development and 30% doing analyst work
  • Participate in the development and testing of specs given by senior team members and business analysts
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Program development in Java, C#, Kettle, SQL, Orchestrator, and ER Code (JDE)
  • Provide status updates to team leaders throughout the development
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and develop resolutions
  • Provide off-hours, on-call support for global operations
  • Help mentor and train co-ops

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer Science/Information Technology
  • 1+ years' experience preferred
  • Solid troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of Java, C#, MSSQL desired, and/or other programming languages
  • Knowledge of code control tools desired
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Curious, innovative, and willing to always test and learn
  • Good interpersonal skills and strong communicator
  • Bias for action and a willingness to test and learn
