About the Role

Join Our Campus Community! The University of Wyoming is committed to creating a supportive and enriching workplace. The position is housed within the Global Engagement Office, which focuses on international engagement, communication, and community building across campus and around the world. This on-campus role supports the office's digital presence by creating and managing social media content to engage the UW community, potential students, donors, and international partners, promoting programs and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create content (graphics, photos, videos, and captions) for social media channels
  • Share content from other UW and partner accounts
  • Schedule and publish posts using social media management tools
  • Monitor engagement (likes, comments, shares) and respond to messages as needed
  • Collaborate with staff and other work-studies to brainstorm and implement campaigns
  • Assist in tracking analytics and reporting on performance
  • Stay up to date with social media trends relevant to college audiences
  • Take photos or short videos at events as needed
  • Help with minor updates to other department media
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Must be work-study eligible and available to work on campus
  • Some college coursework completed
  • Must have received and accepted a work-study award through Student Financial Aid for the applicable semester and/or academic year

Nice to Have

  • Experience using social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and X (Instagram and Facebook preferred)
  • Familiarity with graphic design tools like Canva
  • Strong writing skills and an understanding of social media tone and audience
  • Experience with photography, video editing, or basic analytics tools

Qualifications

  • Some college coursework completed
  • Must be eligible, have received and accepted work-study award
