About the Role

The Athletics Department at Florida International University is seeking students to assist with digital media opportunities alongside the football program. The Student Football Digital Media Assistant will help create videos and graphics for internal use, recruiting, and social media content, as well as assist with filming practices and games, uploading film, and building a film database for football coaches. This role supports the university's commitment to student success and athletic excellence within a research university environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the creation of videos and graphics for internal use, recruiting, or social media content.
Help film practices and games for instructional use by coaches and players.
Assist with uploading film for football staff.
Help build a film database for football coaches.
Provide direct assistance to the Video Coordinator.

Requirements

Current FIU student eligible for Federal Work Study.
Ability to lift heavy equipment and work outside.
Ability to stand or sit for long periods.
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to travel locally and nationally.
Enrolled in at least six (6) credit hours during Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Nice to Have

Experience with video editing or digital media production.
Familiarity with film uploading and database building.
Interest in athletics and sports media.

Qualifications

Enrolled at FIU with a minimum of six (6) credit hours per semester.
Eligible for Federal Work Study.

Benefits & Perks

Hourly wage of $13.00 per hour.
