2025 Product Management Student Experience

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing business cases and product requirements for new product development (NPD) projects
• Assist in coordinating and progressing projects through the Phate-Gate system used in NPD process
• Assist in developing marketing strategies for products
• Assist with sales promotional program implementation, verification and analysis
• Assist in developing marketing strategies for products and working with the marketing organization
• Develop and maintain reports that measure product performance and distribute to appropriate stakeholders
• Work with the product team on product evaluations and related changes
• Assist in planning and implementation of meetings/events
• Conduct market research projects involving data collection, analysis, and presentation of recommendations
• Conduct surveys via various means (email, phone, etc), then organize and present results
• Support Product team with maintaining Oracle configurator to ensure order accuracy and clarify sales reports
• Support Product Specialists and product engineering with data transfer from hardcopy to electronic files
• Support Product Specialists with attachment specifications in IT systems, ensuring data accuracy and VOC documentation
• Pull and analyze market data for dealers, attachments, and application segments
• Correspond with vendors regarding machine specifications
• Transfer benchmarking raw data to presentation format
• Support field staff and cross-functional departments with product specifications
• Assist with equipment preparation, cleaning, delivery, and transportation
• Support training site preparation and maintenance
• Assist in supporting the public website and respond to website inquiries

Requirements

• Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing seeking a degree in Management, Business Administration, Engineering or other Business Related field
• Attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Team player, fast learner, and adaptable to change
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
• Self-starter capable of working independently and problem-solving with limited guidance
• Ability to commit to the entire term of the co-op (8 months) or internship (4 months)
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to follow written instructions

Nice to Have

• Experience with market research and data analysis
• Familiarity with Oracle configurator or similar systems
• Previous experience in product development or marketing

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a degree program in Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
