About the Role

The primary purpose of the Account Executive position is to deliver profitable, incremental revenue to the region, develop and manage relationships with assigned accounts, and serve as the liaison between top customers and the Republic Services organization. The role involves driving the sales agenda at high organizational levels, developing strategic account plans, and expanding service offerings across various environmental and waste management services. The position supports the company's goal of creating a more sustainable world through innovative environmental solutions and customer partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Aggressively seek opportunities and develop new relationships to expand opportunities related to environmental remediation, waste disposal, hazardous waste disposal, and industrial services.
  • Work in tandem with operations and the executive team to develop and present business solutions that align with the strategic goals of the organization.
  • Lead the pricing decisions that meet purchase order and invoicing requirements.
  • Develop and coordinate responses to RFP, RFI, and bids for assigned accounts.
  • Expand market penetration in private and government services (GSA) market sectors by attracting new clients, maintaining strong business relationships with current clients, and capitalizing on opportunities for repeat business.
  • Build and maintain an active list of companies and strategic prospects to generate continuous growth.
  • Travel weekly, with overnight travel as required.

Requirements

  • A minimum of five (5) years of related business development experience in environmental services, remediation, waste/hazardous waste transportation & disposal, and industrial cleaning.
  • Strong technical expertise with an extensive understanding of environmental remediation, earthwork, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License.
  • Ability and willingness to meet with clients and attend industry expos, conferences, and networking events.
  • Pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screen and Alcohol testing.
  • Pass a Pre-Employment Background Screening.

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven track record of generating new business opportunities in the Environmental Field.

Qualifications

  • Five (5) years of related business development experience in environmental services or related fields.
