About the Role

Microsoft Advertising (MSA) empowers the largest advertisers around the world to reach their maximum potential through digital advertising solutions on the Microsoft Advertising platform. We are seeking top performing Account Executives with digital advertising experience who can drive revenue and increase customer satisfaction by developing and cultivating strategic client relationships and delivering customized solutions aligning to the client's advertising needs. As an Advertising Account Manager (AM), you will enable Microsoft to better serve clients by applying obsession with what clients care about and need, ensuring our Microsoft Advertising story is valued and understood, and building and maintaining solid trusted-advisor relationships with day-to-day practitioner contacts at advertiser/agency. You will focus on driving data-driven optimizations, executing campaigns, and coordinating internal resources for excellence in execution of core tasks, account transitions, and client account health. Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with teams including AEs and Specialist team to develop and execute MSA account plans, leveraging successful sales strategies.
  • Learn about clients' business drivers, compelling events, and seasonality to identify opportunities for optimization and develop sales plans.
  • Influence Digital Marketing Managers, Directors, and Buying Groups by sharing insights, data, and product demonstrations to grow and optimize campaigns.
  • Optimize existing client accounts to meet sales targets and ensure excellent sales hygiene, pipeline management, and revenue achievement.
  • Use solution selling to identify Microsoft opportunities that deliver beneficial client outcomes and bring resources to overcome blockers.
  • Support the Account Executive in building negotiation plans for smooth closing and timely contract renewals.
  • Maintain a positive approach during objections and negotiations, demonstrating expertise in MSA features and incentives.
  • Upsell and increase consumption of existing products, package sales strategies for efficiency, and replicate successful approaches across clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, or related field AND 5+ years of experience in Sales, Advertising, or Marketing with a focus on online media, search advertising, or Search Engine Marketing Sales.
  • OR Master's Degree in Business Administration in Sales, Marketing, or related field AND 3+ years of experience in Sales, Advertising, or Marketing with a focus on online media, search advertising, or Search Engine Marketing Sales.
  • OR 7+ years of experience in Sales, Advertising, or Marketing with a focus on online media, search advertising, or Search Engine Marketing Sales.
  • Experience managing hands-on search advertising campaigns and other performance-based digital marketing campaigns.
  • Experience in online media or Search Engine Marketing Sales and Service experience.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, OR related field AND 7+ years of experience in Sales, Advertising, OR Marketing with a focus on online media, search advertising.
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration in Sales, Marketing, OR related field AND 8+ years of experience in Sales, Advertising, or Marketing with a focus on online media, search advertising.

  • The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $87,000 - $148,700 per year.
  • In specific locations like the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the pay range is USD $113,400 - $164,000 per year.
  • Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
