About the Role

As a member of the Solution Consulting team at ServiceNow, you will support State and Local Solution Sales by guiding revenue for specific products through technical expertise and collaboration with Sales, Product Management, and the executive team. This role involves developing, positioning, and delivering product-specific solutions during sales cycles, with a focus on solution delivery and positioning to meet customer needs and achieve sales goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support product sales as a technical and domain expert of a client-facing sales team.
  • Lead discovery workshops to determine customers' challenges and give product demonstrations to align solutions with customer needs.
  • Answer product feature and technical questions from customers, channel partners, and ServiceNow colleagues.
  • Provide feedback to product management about product enhancements that can address customer needs and add value.
  • Share and learn best practices and reusable assets with other Solution Consultants to improve team efficiency.
  • Stay current on competitive analysis and market differentiation.
  • Support marketing events including executive briefings, conferences, user groups, and trade shows.

Requirements

  • Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving.
  • 7+ years of pre-sales solution consulting or sales engineering experience.
  • Proficiency with the ServiceNow platform or technical expertise with cloud software solutions.
  • Experience working collaboratively with product management, product marketing, partners, and professional services.
  • Territory management skills, including pipeline building and guiding sales execution.
  • Understanding of both State and Local Government.
  • Ability to deal with challenging customers.
  • Deep attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
