About the Role

Parsons is seeking an exceptional AI/ML Software Developer to join our ongoing Science and Technology efforts at the Army Research Laboratory at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. The role involves developing and optimizing machine learning models for resource-constrained environments, supporting AI/ML development pipelines, and contributing to next-generation AI/ML techniques for various devices, including autonomous systems. The position offers access to state-of-the-art tools and a collaborative team environment focused on defense and security solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Train and evaluate machine learning models in frameworks such as Pytorch, ONNX, Tensorflow, and TensorRT.
Optimize machine learning models for performance and resource utilization, including pruning, quantization, and fine-tuning.
Develop ML models to improve object recognition and adapt models for resource-constrained environments.
Carry out exercises on real devices in test environments.
Support resource-constrained and adaptive model development for current and future Army systems.
Research, design, develop, and integrate AI/ML technologies for various devices, including autonomous systems.

Requirements

At least a B.S. degree in math, engineering, or computer science; a M.S. degree is preferred.
Experience training and evaluating machine learning models in frameworks such as Pytorch, ONNX, Tensorflow, and TensorRT.
Experience optimizing machine learning models for performance and resource utilization.
Knowledge of pruning, quantization, and fine-tuning techniques.
Experience working with Large Language Models, training, and model tuning.
Python development experience with focus on object-oriented programming practices.
Comfort with scripting and programming, such as bash and Python, and familiarity with libraries like pip.
Experience with Linux development environments and maintaining code base documentation and git repositories.
Ability to obtain a DoD secret clearance and work onsite at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.

Nice to Have

Experience developing applications for heterogeneous hardware (x86, ARM, Nvidia and AMD GPUs).
Knowledge of robotics and/or autonomous vehicles.
Robot Operating System (ROS) experience or knowledge.
Team development experience.
