The role involves engaging with prospective clients, understanding their strategic challenges, and delivering mission-critical solutions to support BlackRock's purpose.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a strong go-to-market (GTM) strategy and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities to drive Aladdin sales.
  • Create strategic plans for each relationship or account to identify sales and new solution opportunities across Investment Book of Records and Accounting Book of Records for public and private market investments.
  • Support the end-to-end sales cycle by building strong working relationships with prospects from deal origination to contracting.
  • Liaise with global cross-functional teams including Aladdin Accounting and product to build workflows for comprehensive end-to-end solutions.
  • Establish and maintain C-level relationships and introduce BlackRock senior executives to foster and expand these relationships both horizontally and vertically within the account.
  • Develop strong relationships across all groups within Aladdin to ensure an excellent client experience and convey client requirements to product teams as necessary.
  • Maintain a vision for the future of the investment management industry and BlackRock's potential roles in shaping that direction.
  • Lead and inspire teams, acting as a cultural flag-bearer and providing timely, actionable feedback.

Requirements

  • Background in investment management, accounting, financial technology, and deep knowledge of the financial industry.
  • Experience with a variety of accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, US GAAP, Local GAAPs) and related processes including reconciliation, ledger/trial balances, income analysis, and accounting interfaces/reporting.
  • Demonstrable experience working with different investment vehicles such as Equity, Fixed income, Derivatives, Whole Loan Mortgages, and Alternative Investments.
  • Experience using OMS / Accounting systems and/or successful track record in technology implementations of investment software.
  • Proven success in leading sales, achieving and exceeding quotas in software sales, both individually and collaboratively.
  • Strong client relationship skills, including uncovering client needs, managing expectations, and delivering value-added service.
  • Ability to understand business, financial, and technical terminology, and stay current with industry developments.
  • Leadership skills to motivate teams, inspire performance, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Strong project management, problem-solving, and analytical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex concepts clearly.
  • Technologically aware and conversant with client needs and opportunities.
  • Self-starter with the ability to operate independently in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in investment management, accounting, or financial technology.
  • Proven sales track record in software sales and client relationship management.

  • Salary range of USD$195,000.00 - USD$275,000.00, plus an annual discretionary bonus.
