About the Role

NBCUniversal, a leading media and entertainment company, is seeking an Analyst in Digital Analytics for CNBC & MSNBC. The role involves supporting digital teams to analyze audience behavior across websites, apps, social, and streaming platforms, with the goal of enhancing content and user experience to drive growth. The position is part of the Versant Digital Platforms Analytics team, contributing to a new company within a dynamic media landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with MSNBC and CNBC editorial, social, audience development, and product teams to deliver actionable insights and make strategic recommendations on performance.
  • Handle performance metrics and reporting for all digital platforms including website, apps, and OTT platforms.
  • Work within large datasets or a data lake to perform advanced analysis across multiple datasets and inputs.
  • Leverage data visualization tools to create reports for cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain, update, and distribute dashboards or reports to ensure data governance.
  • Partner with finance to maintain and refine operational business models and forecasts.
  • Utilize SQL to create custom datasets across multiple data sources.
  • Work within Adobe Analytics data to QA eVars/props and page calls, create custom metrics and segments.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to identify data sources to enhance database, financial, and marketing operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (concentration in Statistics, Business Analytics, Marketing, or related field a plus).
  • 2+ years of experience working in a data-oriented role.
  • Proficient in SQL for data manipulation, joins, and analysis.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Domo, Tableau, Looker, or equivalent.
  • Experience with web, mobile, search, and/or social analytics tools like Adobe Analytics or Google Search Console.
  • Familiarity with media-specific analytics platforms (e.g., comScore) and KPIs (ratings, impressions, reach, churn).
  • Strong attention to detail, work ethic, curiosity, accountability, and project execution skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Self-driven, resourceful, and resilient.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Adobe Analytics data QA processes.
  • Knowledge of operational business models and financial forecasting.
  • Experience working in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

  • Educational background with a bachelor's degree, preferably in Statistics, Business Analytics, Marketing, or related fields.
