About the Role

Join the American Airlines family as an Analyst, Marketing - Communications within the Global Marketing Team of the Integrated Marketing Strategy Division. This role involves managing marketing communications strategies for external partners, including owned channel planning and collaboration with other marketing teams. The primary objectives are to enhance American Airlines' brand perception, build awareness of partner products and services, and increase revenue. The position offers opportunities to travel, grow expertise, and develop a dynamic career in a diverse and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive marketing plans for various partner initiatives by acting as the primary point of contact in marketing.
  • Evaluate different marketing channels and determine the best execution strategies for each campaign.
  • Champion the brand's tone of voice in all marketing assets, including copy and creative, often involving copywriting work.
  • Build Adobe dashboards to track marketing performance and develop insights for future campaign optimization.
  • Collaborate with groups such as Partnerships, Member Engagement, Cobrand, Digital Content, Sales, Legal, and Corporate Communications at all organizational levels.
  • Create owned channels marketing assets and oversee their production and deployment.
  • Project manage campaigns from start to finish and develop ongoing reports to deliver results to leadership.
  • Manage MediaNet planning and billing, including placement management, approvals, valuation, and payment tracking with third-party partners.
  • Travel for business when needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, marketing, advertising, or equivalent experience/training.
  • At least 2 years of related work experience.
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of the aviation industry and familiarity with American Airlines' marketing organization.
  • Some analytical and budgeting experience, with a desire to expand skills in this area.
  • Creative and visual thinking skills with the ability to think "outside the box".
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines.

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience working cross-functionally across many business units and with all levels of stakeholders.
  • Experience with campaign management and working with AAdvantage partners and/or Cobrand.
  • Knowledge of marketing analytics and dashboard development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, advertising, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
