About the Role

GM Financial is the wholly owned captive finance subsidiary of General Motors, headquartered in Fort Worth, U.S. It is a global provider of auto finance solutions with operations across North America, South America, and the Asia Pacific region. The company offers retail financing, lease programs, and commercial lending products to auto dealers. The internship program provides 11 weeks of work experience, networking opportunities, independent and team projects, philanthropic activities, and a pathway to full-time positions. Key Responsibilities

Interviewing, researching, and crafting original content for Viva Engage, the company's social networking platform.
Creating content for emails, video scripts, social media, external articles, and intranet articles.
Participating in independent and team project experiences.
Engaging in philanthropic activities.

Requirements

Strong written and verbal communication skills required, including giving presentations and communicating with business leaders.
Strong analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
Must be detail-oriented and able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently or in a team setting.
Current student pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Journalism, Communications, Writing, PR, or a related field from an accredited college or university with at least one semester remaining upon start of the internship.
Junior or Senior classification preferred.

Nice to Have

Previous experience with project management software.
