About the Role

TransUnion's Analytics Data Engineer role involves building and maintaining ETL pipelines, collaborating with stakeholders, and developing BI reports to support data-driven decision making. Key Responsibilities

Build ETL pipelines and ingest data from different sources (like RDBMS, APU, DataLake (S3)) for KPIs and new data sources.
Monitor ETL jobs and adapt to partner changes.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define scope, investigation parameters, and objectives of new ETL jobs and analyses.
Build BI reports in Superset.
Ensure analytics development processes and controls comply with policy and are well documented.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of data pipelines and recommend improvements.

Requirements

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, data science, analytics, business intelligence, or a related field.
3-5 years' experience in building and deploying ETL pipelines.
Proficiency in analytics tools such as SQL, Python, R, and data visualization software such as Superset.
Ability to complete advanced functions including joins, calculations, and intermediate SQL proficiency.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
Strong understanding of logic, definitions, and argumentation.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Experience with project management and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Hands-on experience in model building and performance evaluations.

Nice to Have

Experience with data lakes and cloud storage solutions such as S3.
Knowledge of data governance and analytics development policies.
Experience working in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

Educational background in computer science, data science, analytics, or related fields.
Experience in building and deploying ETL pipelines.
