About the Role

The Analytics Strategy & Innovation Lead is a senior leadership role within the Pipeline & Analytics Excellence, Global Commercial Analytics (GCA) organization, responsible for shaping the future of how analytics is delivered, applied, and embedded across the commercial enterprise. This role leads a global team focused on driving strategic initiatives and innovation within analytics, aligning efforts with enterprise objectives, fostering a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement, and influencing senior leadership to embed analytics into decision-making and operational processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shape and lead the global analytics strategy and innovation agenda, ensuring alignment with commercial enterprise objectives, therapeutic area priorities, and regional market needs.
  • Focus analytics efforts to amplify and generate measurable commercial value, driving impact across revenue growth, market access, and customer engagement.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior Commercial and CMO leaders, guiding decisions that elevate the role of analytics in shaping strategy and execution.
  • Champion analytics as a foundational business capability, embedding it into planning, prioritization, and performance management.
  • Establish a bold, forward-looking vision for analytics innovation, fostering alignment and momentum across geographies and functions.
  • Architect the global implementation of advanced analytics and agentic AI solutions, embedding them into workflows and decision-making at scale.
  • Drive process transformation by automating insight generation, enabling real-time decision support, and elevating strategic focus.
  • Establish governance and operating models to ensure responsible AI adoption, regulatory compliance, and sustained impact.
  • Lead change management efforts to drive adoption of new analytics tools and capabilities.
  • Build executive education and capability uplift programs to enhance data literacy and empower leaders.
  • Oversee a portfolio of high-impact analytics initiatives across various domains including customer-facing teams, omnichannel marketing, segmentation, and AI.
  • Ensure cross-functional alignment with teams such as Commercial, Access, Digital, Technology, and GCA.
  • Drive experimentation with emerging technologies, data sources, and methods to unlock new business value.
  • Lead the development of accelerators, platforms, and tools to enable agile, insight-driven decision-making.
  • Position the organization as a global leader in analytics strategy and innovation through thought leadership and capability building.

Requirements

  • Quantitative Master's or PhD degree from an accredited college or university in fields such as Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Operations Research, Management Science, Economics, Statistics, Math, Physics, Computer Science, Data Science, or Business (MBA).
  • 12+ years' experience with a BA/BS or 10+ years with an MBA/MS, including experience in business analytics, country strategy, strategic consulting, and life science industry experience.
  • 8+ years in a people management role with proven accountability and excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, influencing, and problem-solving skills.
  • Deep experience in translating data into storytelling and leveraging it to solve complex challenges.
  • Executive presence and ability to influence senior leaders and colleagues at all levels.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a matrix environment, influencing and collaborating across functions and geographies.
  • Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to innovate and execute with speed and high quality.
  • Proven ability to network and collaborate across functions and regions.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional projects, identify risks, and remove roadblocks.
  • Strong writing, presentation, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure, meet deadlines, and take accountability.
  • Discretion and trustworthiness with confidential information.
  • Ability to manage and coach direct reports and agile teams.

  • Location preference for Pfizer Global Headquarters, New York City.

Benefits & Perks

  • Annual base salary ranging from $219,800 to $366,400.
  • Participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 25% of base salary.
  • Eligibility for share-based long-term incentive programs.
  • Comprehensive benefits including a 401(k) plan with Pfizer matching contributions, additional retirement contributions, paid vacation, holidays, personal days, caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health coverage (medical, dental, vision).
  • Work location flexibility with 2-3 days onsite per week.
  • Relocation assistance may be available based on business needs.
