About the Role

Virginia Tax seeks an individual to continuously enhance and build new features for the Virginia Field Audit Compliance Tool (VFACT). This is a custom build that will track audit activities and caseloads conducted by Tax Field Auditors using the VFACT system. The resource will also work on the integration of VFACT with the replacement of IRMS for existing taxes such as Sales, Withholding, and others. The position involves working under the direction of the VFACT Application Manager to implement new tax types and improve system functionalities.

Key Responsibilities

Enhance and build new features for the Virginia Field Audit Compliance Tool (VFACT).
Implement new tax types such as Corporate Income Tax and other miscellaneous taxes into VFACT.
Work on the integration of VFACT with the replacement of IRMS for existing taxes like Sales and Withholding.
Collaborate under the direction of the VFACT Application Manager to support system development and improvements.

Requirements

Proficient with Angular (minimum 3 years).
Experience with SQL and Oracle Database (minimum 3 years).
Knowledge of REST API (minimum 2 years).
Experience and understanding of Tax Audit Work Process (highly desired, 2 years).
Experience and understanding of Virginia Tax and Tax Administration process (highly desired, 2 years).
Ability to work onsite/hybrid with at least three days per week in the office.
Candidates must be aware and agreeable to potential in-person follow-up interviews if necessary.
