About the Role

Clean Water Action is seeking a social media consultant for a short-term contract to develop a social media plan and provide strategic guidance for their partner, the Anacostia Park and Community Collaborative (APACC). The primary goal is to reestablish an efficient and sustainable social media presence for APACC that accommodates limited staff bandwidth, focusing on community engagement and communication across Ward 7 and 8 in Washington DC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review APACC's existing social media presence, evaluate its needs, and identify the best-fit platform(s).
  • Develop content for APACC's social media channels based on their work and support the creation of a sustainable style and presence.
  • Create a core social media plan and reference resources for ongoing social media communications.
  • Provide social media training to APACC staff.
  • Develop tools for measuring and evaluating the effectiveness of APACC's social media efforts, including a general guide to measurement and impact gauging.

Requirements

  • Experience in social media management and strategic planning.
  • Ability to review and evaluate existing social media use and develop content accordingly.
  • Skills in social media content development and platform insight.
  • Experience coordinating with staff and members of an organization.
  • Knowledge of reporting, metric measurement, and tracking social media impact.

Nice to Have

  • Experience developing social media strategies tailored to organizational missions.
  • Experience training others on social media platforms.
  • Samples of previous social media campaigns with metrics demonstrating success.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in social media strategy development and execution.
  • Ability to produce sample work including content calendars and campaign metrics.
