Job Description

About the Role

The Northern Texas PGA is one of 41 sections of The PGA of America with a membership of over 1,000 PGA professionals. Its objective is to promote enjoyment and involvement in golf and to support the growth of the game by providing services to golf professionals and the industry. The staff's mission is to serve PGA professionals and grow the game by managing daily affairs, operating the Foundation, and managing The Ronny Golf Park. The internship involves creating content and promoting the section's activities through various media channels to further its mission.

Key Responsibilities

Cover NTPGA, NTPGA Foundation, and NTPGA Junior Tour events through photography and posting real-time content
Produce, capture, and edit engaging content highlighting the NTPGA and its programs
Manage and promote social media outlets including Facebook, Flickr, Instagram, X, and YouTube
Create and edit recap videos after tournaments and events
Film, create, and edit content for NTPGA social media accounts
Assist in maintaining and executing the social media content calendar
Maintain the NTPGA brand voice in all written materials
Communicate with and interview juniors, parents, and PGA professionals
Compose media releases
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Ability to use Apple computers and operating system
Knowledge of Google Suite
Experience with drafting and publishing press releases
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and Lightroom (Premiere Pro and After Effects are a plus)
Experience with photography using mirrorless and/or DSLR cameras
Videography experience
Experience with social media management
Knowledge of lighting
Enjoy working with people, including children and young adults ages 7-19
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Organized, detail-oriented, punctual, energetic, and a self-starter
Ability to work and communicate effectively in a team environment
Pursuing or has a college degree (third or fourth-year students preferred)
Access to a vehicle and willingness to travel within the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex
Existing insurance (through school or family)

Nice to Have

Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects

Qualifications

Has or is pursuing a college degree (third or fourth-year students preferred)

Benefits & Perks

Interns are compensated at $10.00 per hour (before taxes)
Over 40 hours per week, compensation increases to $15.00 per hour (before taxes)
Guaranteed minimum of $600 (before taxes) per two-week pay period
NTPGA staff uniforms including golf shirts and hats
Playing and practicing privileges at the NTPGA Golf Park and select courses
School credit (if applicable)
