About the Role

The Architectural Specialties Project Manager at Arktura LLC, a subsidiary of Armstrong World Industries, is responsible for managing complex architectural ceiling projects by collaborating with clients, internal teams, and external vendors. The role involves driving projects forward with a focus on high-quality, innovative design and manufacturing, while navigating design challenges and ensuring project success from start to finish. The position offers exposure to cutting-edge architectural design and manufacturing processes within a supportive, dynamic environment that values creativity, collaboration, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage client relationships, working collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders while navigating complex design challenges, developing creative technical solutions to meet project goals.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to deliver successful projects and promote repeat business.
  • Responsible for direct client communication including management of schedules and key milestones/deliverables.
  • Complete analysis of complex project criteria (design intent, budget, schedule, resource availability, etc.) and creation of effective, actionable plans to align these various criteria in real-time with achievable positive results.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of product systems, demonstrating expertise with clients on product applications and customizations.
  • Present innovative solutions and drive internal developments and improvements.
  • Utilize architectural and manufacturing expertise to guide design development and oversight in collaboration with team members in production of shop drawings and supporting documentation.
  • Collaborate with the Production Team to ensure projects are manufactured on time and to exacting standards.
  • Research and coordinate specialty materials, manufacturing, and consulting services, as well as outside vendor management.
  • Measure and monitor project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Proactively work to deliver projects on-time, within budget, within scope, and within specifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, interior design, or another relevant field.
  • Minimum 3 years work experience in commercial architecture, commercial interior design or related field.
  • Experience with Rhino 3D, Sketchup, Grasshopper, and/or Revit preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task for maximum efficiency without sacrificing accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency using computers and software.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • High proficiency with MS Office Suite and general computer functions.
  • Proficient at reading floor plans, RCP; understand and use commercial construction terms.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced work environment where processes are still evolving and are updated as needed depending on business requirements.
  • Proven experience in a customer-facing role.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Rhino 3D, Sketchup, Grasshopper, and/or Revit.
