About the Role

The Assistant Operations Strategist assists with creating and implementing operational performance improvements in the business unit by assisting in identifying innovative development objectives related to strategy, initiatives, processes, workflows, and technologies. The role involves maintaining exceptional brand quality and reputation through operational excellence, exceeding quality goals, standards, and employee and customer expectations. The position supports developing and implementing operations strategy, reviewing quality and compliance, ensuring process efficiency, facilitating communication, analyzing reports and budgets, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and supporting program management activities in Kansas City, MO.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with creating and implementing operational performance improvements in the business unit.
  • Help develop and execute operations strategy and initiatives to meet performance and business goals.
  • Review quality and compliance requirements based on industry and business needs.
  • Ensure efficiency in operational processes and technologies.
  • Align processes with brand stakeholder needs and communicate operational processes following best practices.
  • Interpret policies, purposes, and goals of the business unit.
  • Procure resources required to support operational processes and initiatives.
  • Analyze reports, budgets, and accounts to identify overspending and misallocated charges.
  • Reconcile internal expenditures and provide solutions to minimize costs.
  • Review calendars and schedules to ensure workflows and compliance.
  • Coordinate with corporate business partners and external vendors to create operational solutions.
  • Coordinate with corporate leaders to adopt and implement initiatives.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration of cross-functional teams.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
  • Support the development and maintenance of program proposals, marketing collateral, and program management information sites.
  • Track and analyze progress of operational initiatives using internal tools or dashboards.
  • Enter and update operational scheduling information across teams and tools.
  • Assist with project controls functions such as document control, reporting, and administration.
  • Support documentation, templates management, and utilization of Project Management Information Systems.
  • Assist with creating and implementing training and onboarding materials.
  • Provide support for monthly reporting or presentations on operational initiatives or KPIs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and ensure compliance with policies and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree required or Associate Degree with 2 years relevant professional experience; 4 years relevant experience may substitute for degree.
  • Ability to work independently with accuracy, reliability, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all organizational levels.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
  • Involvement in campus or community activities preferred.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the country where the position is located.
