About the Role

The Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in quantitative Marketing with an expected start date of July 1, 2026. The Marketing group seeks to hire an individual with expertise in the broad area of quantitative marketing. Successful candidates will have demonstrated a successful record and promise for continued productivity in quantitative marketing, including topics such as marketing analytics, industrial organization, digital marketing and others, using either empirical or analytical methods. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research in the broad area of quantitative marketing, including topics such as marketing analytics, industrial organization, digital marketing, using empirical or analytical methods.
  • Develop and maintain an active research agenda that contributes to the scholarly community.
  • Contribute to teaching and mentoring students at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
  • Engage in service activities within the department, school, and university.

Requirements

  • Have a Ph.D. (or equivalent international degree) or be enrolled in a Ph.D. (or equivalent international degree) granting program at the time of application.
  • Demonstrated successful record and promise for continued productivity in quantitative marketing.
  • Expertise in areas such as marketing analytics, industrial organization, digital marketing, using empirical or analytical methods.

Nice to Have

  • Ph.D. in Marketing or closely related fields.
  • Candidates who have advanced to Ph.D. candidacy and will complete their degree within six months of the start date.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. or equivalent international degree at the time of application or enrollment in a Ph.D. program.
  • Research accomplishments and future research plans.
  • Teaching experience and approach, with a focus on supporting student success.
