Assoc Customer Development Mgr, Walmart

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Execute strategies and develop tactics that align with customer strategies to deliver shipment forecast, consumption, and share goals.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to devise mutually profitable business plans that can be feasibly executed.
• Develop and maintain relationships at the customer level to drive growth through key category platforms and initiatives.
• Manage new item execution including speed to market targets, shipment forecast, and consumption goals within assigned area.
• Manage trade funds within budget and analyze promotional spending to maximize ROI.
• Implement 4P's (product, placement, promotion, and pricing) business tactics that align with brand strategies and meet customer needs.
• Execute trade budget tactics including Lynx, returns, displays, and other promotional efforts.
• Achieve forecast accuracy by working with CPFR partners.
• Troubleshoot orders, provide status updates to customers, and resolve logistical issues and challenges.
• Collaborate with finance, supply chain, brand, and sales strategy teams to align efforts and tactics with customer(s).
• Act as primary point of contact for a category or categories with the customer and meet regularly with Merchants to discuss progress, initiatives, issues, and threats.
• Execute new product launches and provide promotional materials for assigned customer(s).
• Conduct analysis to assess the effectiveness of promotional activities and strategies.
• Monitor key metrics to measure progress toward goals.
• Utilize syndicated and customer data to inform sales plans.
• Tailor customer- and product-specific sales presentations to support recommendations.
• Participate in regular meetings with key customer decision-makers such as Merchants and Customer Business Analysts.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures at all times.

Requirements

• A 4-year degree is required.
• At least 4 years of prior consumer sales-related experience is required.
• Experience working with syndicated data is required.
• Ability to interpret and communicate complex business data.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, complex matrix environment.

Nice to Have

• Broad experience across sales, operations, trade, and category roles.
• Experience working with a top-ten retailer such as Walgreens, Walmart, Target, or CVS.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong business relationships.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree
• 4 years prior consumer sales-related experience
• Syndicated data experience
