About the Role

The Associate Business Development Manager role at Biognosys Inc involves expanding the company's proteomics services and solutions within the pharmaceutical, biotech, and academic sectors, primarily in the Greater Boston area. The position focuses on developing new business opportunities, supporting drug discovery efforts, and contributing to the growth of the company's contract research services business. Biognosys is a leader in next-generation proteomics technology, utilizing high-resolution mass spectrometry and advanced data analytics to provide industry-leading insights for research and clinical applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Devise business plans to achieve regional targets related to Biognosys' main service offerings, TrueDiscovery, TrueSignature, and TrueTarget.
  • Map out key pharma, biotech, and academic accounts and create strategic plans for growth across therapeutic areas and drug development phases.
  • Increase customer base through prospecting efforts, departmental/institutional presentations, roadshows, scientific conferences, and other activities.
  • Consult clients on study designs and capture research plans and objectives in project proposals.
  • Align with scientific directors and project management teams to successfully execute project design, sample submission, and reporting.
  • Maintain updated client and opportunity information in the Customer Relationship Management database.
  • Monitor competitive landscape and market trends, and communicate changes to internal teams to inform strategy and offerings.

Requirements

  • Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in life sciences, molecular biology, pharmacology, biochemistry, or related fields.
  • Experience in ‘omics or mass spectrometry from a sales or technical perspective.
  • Commercial experience in research or clinical services, diagnostics, or relevant fields is preferred.
  • Experience in drug discovery markets and knowledge of the drug development pipeline is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel frequently for customer visits and conferences, including some travel to Zurich, Switzerland.
  • Strong interest in connecting scientific information with a business approach.
  • Ability to identify customer needs and present solutions.
  • Independent, responsible, and accurate working style.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong presentation, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience in drug discovery markets.
  • Knowledge of the drug development pipeline.

Qualifications
