The Associate Customer Development Manager role reports to senior managers and is based in Minneapolis, MN, with a flexible, hybrid work option and travel requirements of 10%. The position involves managing customer relationships, developing business plans, analyzing data, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and executing business plans to deliver sales results, including improved volume potential, increased merchandising effectiveness, and growth of product groups and brands.
  • Focusing on strategic categories essential for the growth of the customer and Kenvue.
  • Driving sales growth by uncovering business opportunities through deep-dive analytics, discerning trends, and providing insights-based recommendations using various data sources such as retailer loyalty data, syndicated data (Nielsen/IRI), marketplace, numerator, eCommerce data sources, and HH Panel Assessments.
  • Ensuring data is accurately formed, reported, and error-free through careful review and refinement prior to analysis.
  • Using business analytics to influence customer and company decision-making at top-to-top levels, utilizing internal and customer business systems to develop and improve plans.
  • Creating, establishing, and/or running customer-specific scorecards to monitor sales progress, identify, and close sales gaps.
  • Reconciling payments, updating promotional plans, and managing trade investments to stay within budget and improve ROI.
  • Forecasting monthly sales accurately by franchise, brand, and special packs/displays.
  • Serving as the 'voice of the customer' to address customer needs, support new product launches, and ensure optimal 4P execution, while aligning organizational efforts with customer and business objectives.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • At least two years of experience in a consumer package goods environment in sales, business analytics, category management, shopper marketing/insights, logistics, or related fields.
  • Strong analytical background and/or category management experience preferred.
  • Experience working with IRI/Nielsen data preferred.
  • Prior sales experience is preferred.
  • Experience working on a platinum customer or national account preferred.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate sophisticated business data.
  • Ability to prioritize and lead multiple projects or initiatives effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
  • Strong digital literacy, including MS Office Suite applications, sales databases, and web applications.

Nice to Have

  • Category management experience.
  • Experience working with IRI/Nielsen data.
  • Experience with platinum customers or national accounts.
  • Prior sales experience.
