About the Role

The Associate, Digital Activation role is part of the Marketing team at Diageo, a leading global premium drinks company with a rich entrepreneurial legacy. The role focuses on managing paid social media campaigns to optimize brand performance across the US and Canada, working closely with internal teams and external partners to drive business results and support innovative digital strategies. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, and manage paid social media channels, with an emphasis on Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and Pinterest.
  • Support innovation on new platforms or partners as the social and digital space continues to evolve.
  • Handle buying, tagging, optimization, and reporting for brands, managing multi-million-dollar budgets.
  • Collaborate with media agency planning teams to incorporate tactical media plans and insights into deliverables such as plans and reports.
  • Lead and manage daily media optimizations, working with creative agencies to enhance creative content.
  • Administer billing operations across social media accounts for Diageo North America.
  • Identify, develop, and advocate for pilots to support brand and business strategies.
  • Lead testing and analysis of social media campaign performance metrics using analytics tools.
  • Organize and analyze datasets into reports that provide actionable insights for future media and content strategies.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in digital or social media, preferably managing and buying paid social for a major consumer packaged goods or luxury brand.
  • Expertise in Excel and social media analytics platforms such as Sprinklr or Facebook Insights/Business Manager.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail.
  • Deep understanding of social media data and how it affects reporting.
  • Self-starter with a proactive attitude and ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Experience working with various partners and building relationships.
  • Ability to prioritize workload effectively.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge and curiosity about social data and its impact on business.
  • Experience with social listening platforms.
  • Knowledge in SQL, Salesforce, statistical tools, or programming.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
