The role involves executing critical remediation initiatives across the Digital Tracking ecosystem, supporting privacy compliance, and collaborating with various teams to ensure adherence to regulations such as GDPR, DPA, and ePrivacy directives. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to work on complex projects that impact both internal and external customer objectives globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Senior Managers of Scanning and Remediation, Web Governance, Engineering, Centers of Excellence, and wider organizational teams to meet privacy and compliance goals across the enterprise
  • Support core European privacy work streams, including developing frameworks and tooling, research and scanning models, and efficient remediation and scanning operations
  • Research, document, and communicate complex tracking activities and related details to summarize key tracker functions and use cases, providing clear recommendations for senior leadership and partners
  • Collaborate with product owners, content owners, and page owners across the entire American Express Enterprise to support remediation efforts
  • Work with Enterprise teams to establish how digital tracking platforms can support a more robust and long-term strategy for digital tracking governance
  • Communicate and report on remediation activities, risk levels, and areas of opportunity to senior privacy leadership

Requirements

  • Experience in digital product/project management and strategy, operations, or enablement supporting data and/or consumer-facing products
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, easily understood communication for stakeholders including senior leadership
  • Understanding of website and webpage infrastructure, digital trackers such as pixels and cookies, and basic website scripts and code
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, with strong ability to analyze and action large data sets
  • Knowledge of project management tools such as Jira, Rally, and Confluence
  • Ability to work through ambiguity and solve problems through innovative and creative thinking
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with persuasive abilities to influence decisions
  • Experience building effective relationships with business partners and colleagues across a matrix organization
  • Flexibility to manage business partners across multiple time zones
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, detail-oriented, and able to act independently

Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting privacy compliance or remediation initiatives
  • Knowledge of privacy regulations and data governance strategies
  • Experience working in global or cross-functional teams

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting digital products, projects, or strategy
  • Understanding of website infrastructure and digital tracking technologies
  • Proficiency in Excel and project management tools such as Jira, Rally, and Confluence
