About the Role

The Associate Director, Regional Marketing, is a field-based position focused on engaging with key opinion leaders (KOLs) in dermatology and rheumatology to gather insights, support disease state and product education, and execute promotional and patient programs. The role acts as a bridge between regional markets and headquarters, collaborating with cross-functional teams including Sales, Market Access, and Medical Affairs, and requires residence within the specified territory of South TX, LA, MS. The position is part of Bristol Myers Squibb's US Dermatology & Rheumatology Marketing Team and emphasizes meaningful engagement, strategic insight generation, and compliant execution of programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with KOLs in targeted accounts to gather insights and support disease state or product discussions when appropriate.
  • Champion the brand, disease state, and commercial strategy through meaningful engagement with healthcare professionals.
  • Support conversations focused on key topics related to disease state or product, as appropriate.
  • Execute physician engagement activities in the field and at key congresses.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to provide customer insights and input on strategy, tactics, messaging, and program execution.
  • Develop physician speakers for high-quality speaker programs on disease state and product, and provide refresher and follow-up training on approved materials.
  • Ensure compliant and appropriate execution of speaker programs and monitor speaker performance at live and virtual events.
  • Engage with assigned KOLs to solicit feedback and support field-based training for speakers and sales teams.
  • Lead or support the execution of advisory boards and assist in identifying HCP consultants based on profile criteria.
  • Participate in and facilitate advisory boards, providing input for account planning and sales support.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop account plans and provide field-based training support for sales when needed.
  • Maintain professionalism and adhere to the company's Code of Ethics and Business Conduct.
  • Travel regularly by air or car, including evenings and weekends, to meet job requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in product marketing, field sales, or medical affairs.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Dermatology or Rheumatology.
  • Experience with thought leader engagement, advisory boards, and speaker bureaus is strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage large geographical territories effectively.
  • Ability to build productive stakeholder relationships and meet their needs.
  • Strong business acumen with understanding of market dynamics and corporate goals.
  • Clinical knowledge and aptitude in complex/competitive disease states, with a desire to learn and improve.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and organizational abilities.
  • Self-driven with strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to leverage interpersonal styles to gain acceptance of ideas or plans.
  • Highly collaborative with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and work evenings and weekends as required.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with marketing, sales management, and/or extensive product launches.
  • Experience with thought leader engagement, advisory boards, and speaker bureaus.
