About the Role

The Associate Director, International Marketing, Differentiation Lead, Immunology at AbbVie is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies for gastroenterology brands across multiple regions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, analyzing market dynamics, and supporting in-market execution to drive brand growth and competitive positioning in the global immunology space.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate and engage with a cross-functional team including Market Access, Medical Affairs, Health Economics, Marketing Analytics, Public Affairs, Regulatory, Legal, Clinical Development, R&D, Medical and Regulatory Review, Patient Relations, Learning, Finance, and Supply Operations.
  • Analyze the Gastro Market dynamics and trends, collect insights on customer behavior, and propose marketing strategies across geographical regions such as Europe and Intercontinental markets.
  • Develop marketing plans for gastro brands, including defining product positioning, customer segmentation, campaign messaging, and product branding.
  • Maintain regular research on competitor activities, develop competitive readiness strategies, and generate rapid response letters on emerging threats.
  • Develop promotional campaigns and materials to communicate clinical value to Gastroenterologists and worldwide markets, including concept development, testing, and review of promotional assets.
  • Oversee in-market execution, co-create projects, and support affiliates across Europe, Asia Pacific, Middle East, North America, and Latin America through regular communication and follow-up.
  • Provide proactive updates on market developments to management and cross-functional teams, including competitor activities and market changes.
  • Manage project budgets, conduct monthly reviews, forecast expenses, and identify opportunities for budget optimization.
  • Manage vendors, suppliers, and agencies for project execution, including production of marketing materials and digital assets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 7-10 years of proven marketing experience with increased proficiency in marketing skills.
  • Experience with cross franchise/cross channel marketing preferred.
  • Digital communication experience.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills.
  • Networking and effective communication skills to build relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Good written and oral communication skills to inspire teams.

Nice to Have

  • Previous cross franchise/cross channel marketing experience.
  • Experience with digital communication tools.
  • Exposure to multiple geographic regions or affiliates.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to define well-structured execution plans.

  • Educational background: Bachelor's Degree.
