About the Role

The Associate Director Market Access Commercialization Analytics is a dynamic member of the Market Access (MAx) Commercialization Analytics team at Bristol Myers Squibb. They partner closely with the Global Market Access organization and support senior leadership by providing analytic guidance, delivering high-quality insights, and helping inform strategic decisions to maximize market access potential in US and worldwide markets. The role involves working with data, research, and analytics functions to answer key questions, develop solutions, and influence business strategies that ultimately aim to bring more medicines to more patients faster.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate, present, defend, and maintain standard Market Access deliverables with high precision and insight, both ongoing and ad-hoc.
  • Provide day-to-day strategic guidance and support to US and WW Market Access stakeholders to maximize access strategy and potential.
  • Identify knowledge gaps, shape data, research, and analytic questions, and apply best-in-class methodologies to address complex business issues.
  • Design, develop, and execute primary market research studies and analytic deliverables, including managing research budgets.
  • Deliver timely, customer-centric insights and market perspectives that unlock access potential and create competitive advantage.
  • Influence the pull-through of insights to action, supporting the development and delivery of medicines to patients.
  • Provide strategic guidance to senior business stakeholders and collaborate within the broader matrix teams to identify insights and provide a unified view of the business.
  • Support ad-hoc activities such as business development assessments, earnings preparation, and onboarding of senior leaders.
  • Lead, manage, and mentor support resources.
  • Ensure adherence to all BMS operating policies and demonstrate BMS behaviors of accountability, passion, urgency, innovation, inclusion, and integrity.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Biotech or Pharma experience in a Business Insight function responsible for Analytics and/or Primary Market Research.
  • Deep knowledge of Market Access and Healthcare marketplace dynamics.
  • BA/BS degree required; MBA or other graduate degrees preferred.
  • Strong grasp of analytical disciplines such as secondary data analytics or marketing science, and primary market research.
  • Extensive knowledge and use of both primary research and secondary data sources.
  • Ability to present and influence senior leaders on critical decisions.
  • Ability to connect analytics with overarching business questions and understand the link between access strategy and insights.
  • Manage ambiguity by questioning data and stakeholders for nuanced information.
  • Operate effectively with less-than-perfect data using logical frameworks.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to quality control to ensure deliverables meet or exceed standards.
  • Experience in BMS-specific therapeutic areas is preferred.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree required; MBA or other graduate degrees preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant biotech or pharma experience.
