The Associate Director, Regional Marketing, Cardiovascular - Carolinas, is responsible for engaging Thought Leaders, generating insights, executing regional meetings, and delivering programs to Healthcare Professionals for Bayer's Cardiovascular Renal Portfolio, supporting both short-term and long-term brand objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain Thought Leader relationships in cardiovascular-renal-metabolic health through various channels and activities to create positive product perception and deep relationships.
  • Identify and recommend Thought Leaders to provide brand insight, collaborating with the local team to focus on key influencers and scientific leaders.
  • Develop and maintain clinical expertise to challenge and advance Thought Leader thinking, leveraging data, brand strategy, and messaging.
  • Contribute to sentiment tracking along the Thought Leader journey to motivate them to become vocal champions.
  • Coordinate and execute plans for company presence at conferences, including content repurposing, internal approvals, and training local staff.
  • Lead Thought Leader meetings and support senior leadership encounters at congresses and industry meetings.
  • Attend scientific sessions to enhance clinical expertise and share insights with sales and brand teams.
  • Lead marketing-initiated peer-to-peer programs, including national broadcasts, and support field with speaker program recommendations.
  • Maintain and develop the speaker bureau, including training, utilization tracking, and identifying new speakers.
  • Contribute to local and national marketing projects, tailoring brand materials and digital solutions to local needs.
  • Coordinate and share customer insights with internal partners, lead advisory boards, and develop objectives and content for meetings.
  • Collaborate with local teams to enable field engagement and execution of opportunities such as sponsorships and events.
  • Share knowledge on systems and processes to build deep relationships with Thought Leaders across different customer types.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • 5-7 years' experience in the pharma/biotech industry with at least 2 years of customer-facing experience.
  • 2 years' experience working within the cardiovascular therapeutic area.
  • Proven accomplishment in identifying and driving a strategic approach to business.
  • Proven track record of sales, customer-facing success, and/or project management.
  • Significant experience in creating, maintaining, and growing relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, with attention to detail, and follow through to completion.
  • Proactive, results-oriented, and motivated by challenging tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively cross-functionally within the organization and with external partners.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50% or more for customer engagements, conferences, and events.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's degree with a life science background.
  • Residence in or near the geography.
  • Experience in sales training, sales management, account management, market access, or other commercial areas.
  • Experience working with academic institutions and key accounts.

Benefits & Perks

  • Salary between $143,240 and $214,860, with potential bonuses or commissions.
