About the Role

The Associate Director, Strategy & Marketing at Dotdash Meredith is responsible for creating and presenting compelling marketing strategies rooted in data and insights that align with client and prospect business objectives. The role involves developing strategic recommendations, working closely with sales teams, managing marketing assets, and supporting the company's leadership in positioning and innovation within the healthcare media marketplace. This position reports into the SVP, Strategy and Marketing, and focuses on Targeted Media Health, particularly the point of care division of People Inc.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ownership of account-level sales planning and associated marketing assets, including answering over 100 RFPs generating approximately $25M+ in revenue across digital and print.
  • Development of sales materials and tactics to sell to clients and prospects, including proposal decks, sell sheets, case studies, and client presentations that affirm TMH's leadership in the point of care space.
  • Drive development of ongoing strategic client recommendations and adapt as new opportunities or challenges arise, translating industry and marketplace news into compelling narratives.
  • Establish a working knowledge of each client, their competitors, and their landscape, especially TMH performance at the specialty and client level.
  • Collaborate with People Inc. (especially People Inc. Health) to drive client engagement and deliver high-quality client deliverables including design.
  • Manage and participate in activities such as sales events, gifting programs, and other miscellaneous activities.
  • Work with the Content Solutions team on executing digital content hubs and manage client deliverables for campaigns like posters and newsletters.
  • Manage outgoing marketing including newsletters highlighting patient-focused and HCP-focused activities, and maintain the company website with up-to-date information.
  • Ensure proper brand awareness at external events including POCMA and sales activities.
  • Establish performance metrics and track KPIs for all marketing activities.
  • Partner with senior executives on innovation, thought leadership, and internal communications, supporting GTM activities for new products and services.
  • Contribute to thought leadership and establish relationships with relevant marketing teams.
  • Provide collateral to clients and maintain collateral inventory, ensuring materials are current and accurate.
  • Maintain and update the library of materials for internal and external use.

Requirements

  • Have or be working toward a BA/BS in marketing, business, technology, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in pharma/healthcare marketing at a media agency or publisher.
  • Working knowledge of the healthcare media marketplace in a media buying or marketing capacity.
  • Demonstrated success within the point of care space.
  • Experience leading project teams and working with healthcare data or research.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; Wordpress and AirTable skills are a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Facility with storytelling and narrative frameworks.
  • Approximately 20% travel required.
