About the Role

The Associate Product Manager (APM) - Jimmy Dean Frozen is a vital contributor to the business unit, responsible for leading cross-functional teams in planning, execution, and analysis of various initiatives. This role encompasses general management with P&L responsibility, including the development of strategic business and marketing plans, sustaining innovation, and sales programs that will achieve volume, profit, and share objectives. The Jimmy Dean Frozen business unit team is based on site in Springdale, Arkansas at Tyson's World Headquarters. Remote/hybrid work is not available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Seamlessly execute business plans to deliver against volume and profit objectives for the Jimmy Dean Frozen business.
  • Analyze data to identify insights and translate them into business initiatives and/or actionable tasks to drive results in line with business goals.
  • Monitor and report on business performance, industry trends, market share, and competitive activity.
  • Support the creation of category selling tools, promotional initiatives, and sales communications.
  • Work hand-in-hand with the sales organization to understand and integrate customer strategies into business and brand plans.
  • Work collaboratively with Insights, Sensory, R&D, Sales Strategy & Planning to identify new ideas, build research and development plans, screen ideas and optimize innovation offerings to meet consumer needs and differentiate from competition.
  • Collaborate with PMO partners to lead cross-functional teams in the development and execution of innovation/product and packaging design plans, including concept development, R&D proposals, feasibility validation, approval, customer sell-in, and in-market performance tracking.
  • Participate in monthly volume forecasting for assigned categories, coordinating between Demand and Supply Planning groups.
  • Monitor production, inventory, and packaging levels of key items.
  • Proactively work with Sales Strategy and Planning partners to ensure forecast accuracy, maximize opportunities, and develop plans to meet capacity fill objectives.
  • Implement product specification changes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required or recent MBA/BBA graduate with internship or similar experience in brand/product marketing.
  • At least 2 years of direct product innovation, CPG, or brand marketing experience.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills are required.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Good collaborator with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Travel requirement of 10%.
  • Relocation assistance is available.

Qualifications

  • Educational background includes a Bachelor's degree or recent MBA/BBA with relevant internship experience.
