The Associate Product Specialist role offers an opportunity to learn about developing business cases for new products, creating scalable customer-centric solutions, and managing projects through to market launch. Participants will engage in cross-functional work, develop new skills, and contribute to strategic initiatives within various product areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and own tasks across the product life cycle.
  • Assist in establishing and monitoring progress against key milestones in the development and implementation process.
  • Work with various product lines and technologies.
  • Provide competitive landscape, trends, consumer insights, research and end-to-end program analytics.
  • Engage with the business and engineering teams to track progress and identify dependencies and risks.
  • Contribute to inspiring product visions based on market and customer needs and evolving technology trends.
  • Identify and measure product and business metrics to increase adoption and understand customers' ongoing needs.
  • Conduct iterative experiments to identify and prioritize key features for inclusion with product releases and roadmaps.
  • Develop presentations for sales and partnership meetings.
  • Define product pricing strategies.
  • Speak with customers to understand how Mastercard products impact their systems and business models.
  • Assist customers in resolving operational issues.
  • Project management of strategic initiatives.
  • Work on potential product areas such as Analytics, APIs, Artificial Intelligence, Cryptocurrency/Blockchain, Cybersecurity, Loyalty, Marketing, Open Banking, or Payments.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled senior pursuing bachelor's or accelerated master's degree graduating in Fall 2024 or Spring 2025.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint).
  • High energy level, flexible, adaptive, and a strong collaborator.
  • Well planned, organized, and structured to manage time and work effectively.
  • Eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with developing business cases or product management.
  • Familiarity with digital payments, APIs, AI, Blockchain, Cybersecurity, or related technologies.
  • Previous experience in project management or strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Enrollment as a senior pursuing a bachelor's or accelerated master's degree, graduating in Fall 2024 or Spring 2025.
