About the Role

Walmart is seeking a Director of Product Management to join our growing and fast-paced eCommerce Marketplace team. The role involves building capabilities to enable sellers to grow on the marketplace, focusing on creating innovative product experiences that help sellers improve offer quality, set competitive prices, and increase transactability. The candidate will lead the development of a recommendation platform to provide seller insights, leverage ML and Gen AI technologies, manage multiple product teams, and collaborate cross-functionally to achieve key marketplace success metrics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build capabilities that help sellers improve catalog offer quality, set competitive prices, enhance review coverage, and increase transactability.
  • Lead the development of a recommendation platform that provides actionable seller insights to drive business growth.
  • Shape the strategy and development of tools that enable sellers to scale their businesses by 10x.
  • Leverage Machine Learning (ML) and Generative AI (Gen AI) to deliver transformational product experiences and insights.
  • Oversee multiple product teams across various domains, including hiring and talent development.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, product managers, engineers, analysts, data scientists, and designers to achieve key success metrics for the marketplace.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related area and 11 years' experience in product management.
  • Or 13+ years of experience in product management or related area.
  • Strong growth mindset and passion for innovation, with decision-making driven by data and insights.
  • Deep expertise in building pricing and review ecosystems for marketplaces.
  • Exceptional communication skills to engage effectively with stakeholders and leadership.
  • Ability to operate at a detailed level across business, data science, and engineering functions.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
  • Ability to manage concurrent projects and execute cross-functional initiatives without direct authority.

Nice to Have

  • Master's degree in computer science, engineering, business administration, or related area.
  • Experience working on consumer-facing, highly complex B2B/C products leveraging AI/ML.
  • Supervisory experience and a background in creating inclusive digital experiences.
  • Knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards and assistive technologies.
  • Knowledge of accessibility best practices and supporting an inclusive culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related area with 11 years' experience, or 13+ years of experience in product management.
  • Preferred: Master's degree in computer science, engineering, business administration, or related area with 10 years' experience as a product manager.
  • Experience working on large-scale, complex B2B/C products, ideally with AI/ML.
  • Supervisory experience and knowledge of creating accessible digital experiences following WCAG standards.

  • Annual salary range: $169,000 - $338,000 plus performance bonuses and stock options.
