We are seeking an innovative social media expert to support our mission by developing tailored social media strategies across various platforms and collaborating cross-functionally to enhance our digital presence and business results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stay up-to-date with social media trends, new platforms, and ways of working with social networks.
  • Understand market trends associated with prioritized platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, X, Snapchat, and Reddit.
  • Develop organic and paid social media strategies in collaboration with internal teams to drive business results.
  • Understand different audiences and opportunities presented by organic communities versus paid social media.
  • Integrate into Brand teams to understand their strategies, goals, and objectives, and make social experience-based recommendations.
  • Serve as a trusted partner in content review processes within Lilly's internal organization.
  • Engage in close collaboration with community managers, social listeners, and fellow strategists to incorporate consumer insights and data-driven needs.
  • Partner with internal IT teams and agencies to implement processes for launching approved capabilities.
  • Assist in creating a comprehensive social media strategy playbook to enhance brand presence across platforms.
  • Provide regular updates on emerging trends, platform functionalities, and opportunities.
  • Assist in delivering insights from social listening, community management, and other data sources to inform brand strategies.
  • Leverage data to make recommendations, optimize activities, and identify new opportunities.
  • Partner with various teams to develop KPIs and deliver performance scorecards to leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with Lilly guidelines, promotional practices, privacy policies, and relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and Privacy teams to ensure content meets standards and legal requirements.
  • Maintain knowledge of laws, regulations, and policies governing social media activities.
  • Support the execution of social media strategies for brands and functional areas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2 or more years of Digital or Social Media Marketing experience
  • Qualified to work in the United States on a full-time basis
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and market trends
  • Ability to navigate a highly matrixed organization and collaborate across teams
  • Experience developing and executing social media content, especially in pharmaceutical or regulated environments
  • Comfortable resolving ambiguity and working in a dynamic environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams to deliver results
  • Ability to translate consumer insights and brand strategies into effective campaigns

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in digital or social media marketing
