Job Description

About the Role

An Assistant Marketing Manager improves department growth through the development of new programs and innovative training methods while streamlining effective tour booking processes during phone bookings and in-person contact. The role involves supporting marketing locations and team members both in the field and in administrative tasks, with a focus on team building, performance management, and achieving sales goals within a hospitality or timeshare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and direct the activities of the LM team's support of the Marketing Manager to obtain maximum production and efficiencies.
  • Spend the majority of time in the field supporting marketing locations and team members, with additional administrative work in the office as directed.
  • Recruit and interview potential new team members, participate in new hire training and mentoring.
  • Proactively seek and schedule ongoing workshops and training sessions to support maximum production, team building, and culture.
  • Interact with Sales Managers to ensure all marketing needs are met with tours at the sales gallery.
  • Participate and lead in department meetings, training sessions, and other required meetings.
  • Coordinate and lead monthly training sessions for underperforming marketing team members.
  • Advise the Manager of relevant business needs and team member issues.
  • Partner with the Marketing Leader to ensure accurate documentation of team member issues.
  • Partner with the Marketing Manager to provide coaching and performance documentation, including performance reviews.
  • Handle employee relations matters appropriately and seek counsel from leadership or HR when needed.
  • Manage schedules and PTO requests to meet department requirements.
  • Verify that policies, procedures, and training manuals are updated as directed.
  • Meet and achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals for tour flow, volume, penetration, VPG, and package sales.
  • Ensure all locations have current promotions, materials, gift lists, invitations, and promotional items.
  • Cover shifts for absent team members, including interacting with guests, booking tours, and selling packages.
  • Supervise marketing representatives' presentations and all customer interactions.
  • Ensure staffing at all locations is at optimum levels based on production and departmental needs, including coverage during call outs or shift changes.
  • Anticipate challenges and proactively problem-solve with management to mitigate effects on production.
  • Adhere to Hilton values and hold marketing team members accountable to them.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of guest service experience with a consistent record of resolving customer or vendor service issues.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple duties in a fast-paced environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Nice to Have

  • At least 3 years of branded timeshare marketing experience.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory or managerial experience.
  • Strong ability to recruit, train, and motivate marketing professionals.
  • Proven success in field marketing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
