About the Role

The Standard Insurance Company is seeking a forward-thinking, skilled, and driven Automation Product Owner to lead their Intelligent Process Automation (IPA) Strategy & Development team. This role involves shaping the future of enterprise automation by integrating AI-powered automation into core business processes, partnering with senior leaders, and driving innovation and adoption of RPA and AI solutions. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the vision and execution of enterprise-wide IPA initiatives.
  • Partner with leaders and SMEs to explore processes and envision automation opportunities that maximize impact.
  • Drive adoption of RPA + AI solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Balance innovation with governance to ensure ethical, scalable, secure deployments.
  • Engage stakeholders and boost visibility through forums and satisfaction metrics.
  • Own delivery outcomes and ensure automation initiatives meet defined KPIs and impact targets.
  • Partner with the Change Management Organization and Communication leads on change/communication plans.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 4-5 years of experience in Product Owner or similar role.
  • Experience in RPA/IPA/Automation is highly preferred.
  • Experience with AI products is preferred.
  • Proficiency with PowerBI, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint is required.
  • Proven experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies, including implementation through agile practices and incremental releases.
  • Understanding of the SDLC is preferred.
  • Experience with process mapping, flow charts, data & analytics, and automation development is preferred.
  • Experience with tools like UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, and Process/Task Mining is preferred.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to translate technical and business concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Customer focus, adaptability, and an improvement mindset.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in insurance or financial services industry.
  • Experience in business case development, ROI analysis, and technical feasibility assessments.
  • Experience with visual tools to clarify workflows and support stakeholder alignment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED (required).
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred).
  • 4-5 years of experience in a Product Owner or similar role.
