About the Role

Project for Pride in Living (PPL) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering low-income individuals and families to become self-reliant through integrated services in housing, employment, and education. The Brand Content Specialist plays a key role in shaping and sharing the voice of PPL by developing compelling content across digital and print platforms to elevate the brand, engage supporters, and celebrate the impact of programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce content for social media, blog posts, donor materials, and annual reports
  • Interview program participants, staff, and partners to craft authentic, mission-aligned stories
  • Collaborate with program teams to translate complex data and outcomes into accessible, inspiring narratives
  • Support the development of brand guidelines and help teams apply them effectively
  • Create and manage content calendars for social media and email campaigns
  • Work with the digital team to optimize content for SEO and audience engagement
  • Develop promotional materials for fundraising campaigns, events, and community initiatives
  • Assist with video scripts, signage, and other creative assets as needed

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in content creation, communications, or marketing—preferably in a nonprofit or mission-driven setting
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, email marketing tools, and basic design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Passion for equity, housing justice, and workforce development

Nice to Have

  • Experience with video production or photography
  • Knowledge of SEO and digital analytics
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills
