As a Business Analytics Lead within PNC's Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA; Cleveland, OH; Birmingham, AL or Dallas, TX. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager's discretion. As a Business Analytics Lead for PNC's Security Analytics Hub, you will focus on producing data driven insights into risk areas including cybersecurity and physical security, solving business problems through innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather requirements and work with stakeholders to analyze business needs around BI reporting and dashboards
  • Analyze data using tools such as Tableau, SQL and Python to develop and automate reports or analysis that leads to actionable business insights
  • Comprehensive report analysis and design experience with knowledge of data warehouse/database structures and data modelling, PL/SQL
  • Build intuitive interfaces, visualizations, and infographics with storytelling dashboards
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Drive innovation with stakeholders during agile development sessions to create and improve dashboards leveraging newly on-boarded data sources
  • Responsible for full life cycle of BI reporting solutions, including research, design, development, testing, documentation, implementation, training, and support for report development projects
  • Lead analytics processes across multiple functions or business units leveraging complex analytical tools to create data driven solutions
  • Serve as mentor to junior employees
  • Consult with clients and mentors on tool and strategy implementation, statistical scoring, business intelligence, data quality, and analytical product development
  • Determine optimal analytic approaches and support development, implementation, and enhancements
  • Conceptualize, develop, and optimize analytical solutions for operations and executive management
  • Analyze results and communicate conclusions to key business partners and senior management

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Previous leadership experience
  • 5+ years of professional work experience
  • Strong knowledge of developing analytical, reporting and data visualization solutions using BI tools
  • Expertise with database and data warehouse designs, data modelling, data performance tuning and data integration
  • Hands-on experience with physical and relational data modeling
  • Proven experience with ETL tools and API integration
  • Experience with relational databases (Teradata/Oracle)
  • Expertise in writing complex SQL queries to pull and summarize large datasets, report creation and ad-hoc analyses
  • Advanced knowledge of OOP Python and Tableau (certification preferred)
  • Ability to interpret unstructured data and understand underlying business context
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and influence business partners
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, effective under pressure

  • Skills in AWS RDS, S3, Lambda, Redshift

Qualifications

  • University/college degree (Bachelor's) or comparable combination of education, certifications, and experience
  • No required certifications or licenses
