Business Customer Development Analyst

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Create sales materials, including detailed case studies and up-to-date content for the BD team.
• Assist in RFI and RFP response documents and maintain a central repository of information.
• Conduct market assessments by researching online sources and identifying growth opportunities for the sector.
• Create potential customer lists and help grow the sales pipeline in collaboration with the VP of BD.
• Perform initial vetting of potential customers, gather necessary data, and determine business fit through discussions.
• Contact and set up meetings with potential leads that have reached out to DHL.
• Analyze RFP and customer data to assess opportunity risk, scope, and financial benefits.
• Shadow and assist on active pursuits by working with lead Business Developers, gathering customer data, and developing sales materials.
• Participate in customer meetings and travel as needed to gain customer-facing experience.
• Visit operations to learn DHL’s tools and offerings, and understand customer needs and pain points.
• Engage in training programs, including business writing, sales processes, logistics design, negotiation, and more, with opportunities for travel for training.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
• Two years of work experience in marketing, sales, transportation, or logistics.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to conduct market research and analyze data.
• Interest in customer-facing roles and developing sales strategies.

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field
• 2 years of work experience in marketing, sales, transportation, and/or logistics
