About the Role

Honeywell Building Automation (BA) is a leading global provider of products, software, solutions, and technologies that enable building owners and occupants to ensure their facilities are safe, energy efficient, sustainable, and productive. BA products and services include advanced software applications for building control and optimization; sensors, switches, control systems, and instruments for energy management; access control; video surveillance; fire products; and installation, maintenance, and upgrades of systems. As a Sr Director Business Development- Sine at Honeywell, you will be responsible for driving the growth and expansion of our Sine business through strategic partnerships and new market opportunities, developing and executing growth strategies, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders. You will report to the VPGM, Software and Services, and work out of Atlanta, GA on a hybrid schedule, with a significant impact on organizational growth and success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate new market opportunities and potential business partnerships
  • Develop and execute growth strategies to drive business expansion
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Negotiate and close business deals to drive revenue growth
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of growth strategies
  • Monitor and report on market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs
  • Build collaborative partnerships with Regional VPs, aligning teams in focused verticals and target accounts
  • Identify opportunities to streamline lead generation, qualification, and handoff processes to ensure seamless collaboration between Sales, Customer Success, and Offering Management
  • Provide regular performance updates and reports to leadership, identifying trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
  • Work closely with the VPGM, Global Software and Services to ensure alignment and integration of business development efforts with overall GTM objectives
  • Serve as a liaison between Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and other members of the Commercial team to facilitate communication and collaboration
  • Foster and maintain excellent working relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, the greater sales function, marketing teams, and industry influencers

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Strong business acumen and market knowledge
  • Ability to work independently and drive results

Nice to Have

  • Master's degree in Business Administration or a related field
  • 12+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role
  • Experience in the technology industry or a related field
  • Experience in identifying and pursuing new market opportunities
  • Knowledge of emerging trends and best practices in business development
