About the Role

The Office of Research Business Development, Marketing & Communications within OSVPR at Penn State is seeking a part-time business development and HubSpot support staff member to assist with key research strategies across several units. The role involves managing and optimizing HubSpot, generating analytics, supporting data gathering, and developing marketing strategies to promote PSU's services, brand awareness, and sales growth. This position offers remote work with opportunities for in-person meetings and requires a self-directed individual with experience in business development, marketing, and analytics platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Management and optimization of the HubSpot account, including configuring the system, creating workflows, managing data, and providing training as needed.
  • Handling marketing automation, lead management, and reporting within HubSpot.
  • Generating analytics across the business development cycle for revenue generation, utilizing data from HubSpot, Salesforce, social media, and websites.
  • Reporting analytics within HubSpot.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholder groups to assist with data gathering and entry, such as the Office of Technology Transfer and units supporting industry research partnerships.
  • Possibly assisting with data entry into HubSpot and nurturing research leads once they arrive.
  • Participating in developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote PSU's services, including identifying target audiences, creating campaigns, and analyzing results.

Requirements

  • Experience with business development, marketing, or sales funnels.
  • Working understanding of HubSpot, with high-level expertise preferred.
  • Knowledge of analytics platforms such as PowerBI.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and Marketing Cloud is a plus.
  • Must have US Citizenship.
  • Ability to work independently, organize, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Availability for meetings during business hours (8-5, M-F), with flexibility for work schedule.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Salesforce (including Marketing Cloud).
  • Experience with analytics platforms such as PowerBI.
